It is with tremendous sadness that we report that Orange High Athletic Director Mike McCauley passed away last night after a brief battle with cancer. He had been the athletic director at Orange since replacing Earnie Price in 2016. His value to Orange has been immeasurable.

Today, Trenton Gill will become the first Cedar Ridge Red Wolf to play in an NFL game as the Chicago Bears face the San Francisco 49ers at Soldier Field. Gill will become the first player from Hillsborough to play in the NFL since Alvis Whitted played for the Oakland Raiders.

Orange's Jerec Thompson surpassed 1,000 points last night for his career. He did it in 70 games. His junior season was limited to 12 games due to the pandemic, but he still got to 1,000 because of 40 points vs. Eastern Alamance on Friday and 41 vs. NCSSM on 12/2.
