OK, here's a better explanation for why bond yields have softened (at least in the short term).
Because the PPI components that feed into the PCE index (financial and healthcare services) were soft in January, the core PCE index is estimated to print well below the big 0.45% increase in the CPI A 0.27% increase in core PCE for Jan would drop the Y/Y rate to 2.6% from 2.8%

@goncalovalue1 @Mercedarians China, the world's biggest car market, is well on their way to phase out ICE. In UK & EU, sale of ICE is banned from 2030 to 2035. Unless these deadlines are shifted, demand drops. Oil is different, because used in legacy cars for many years, not just new cars.
