@SocAfrikan That’s victim blaming. Who wants to die like that? I think the point was that they had no choice. wtf in such bad taste 😐

@amed_xorteme @stavrosnavros The article speaks about the women’s revolution in Rojava, north Syria. No one is contesting the rights of Rojava to have status. Read the article to understand the point and the role of women in Rojava better.

A ground breaking book by @SoranHamarash. A must read! If you want to understand the lost and untold history of the Kurds you must get a copy of this book.
In this book, we embark on a journey to unravel the mysteries surrounding the history, identity, and language of the Medes, providing ground breaking insights that reshape our understanding of history itself. #Kurds #Kurdish

As Turkey bombs and uses drones to terrorize the Kurds in Rojava, as Turkey annexes further lands and villages in Basur of Kurdistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran continues to arrest, torture, disappear, execute and hang Kurds daily. There is no safety for Kurds so long as anti-Kurdish policies continue across these regimes. The right to live freely as Kurds is an unalienable human right!

Support the teachers strike currently occurring in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Teachers and other civil servants have not been paid for months and payments are consistently being paid late for years now.
Hawreyan, get out there. The streets of Slemani and other towns are on fire! We’re back again! Some photos I took from the past six days while volunteering for the teachers on hunger strike.

This is the plight of the Kurdish Kolbers (porters) from Rojhilat of Kurdistan, Iran. They track across dangerous terrain and mountains carrying heavy goods on their backs to sell across the borders of Turkey and Iraq. Why? Because Iran deliberately imposed an economic marginalization policy on the Kurds which means that they are forced to endanger their lives, carrying back breaking goods only to be shot at, killed, injured or arrested by Iranian border guards. Each year dozens of men, women and children are killed as a result. No one chooses to live this way unless they are driven by extreme economic needs.

ISIS and NATO member Turkey and its allied jihadists are continuing to attack the Kurds in Rojava, northern Syria. The Kurds have led the global fight against ISIS and jihadists in the region including in Iraq too. Yet Turkey continues to foster and support more and more terrorist groups and recycle them through continuous attacks against the Kurds. Turkey also has attempted to release captured ISIS prisoners held by the Kurds. Turkey must be stopped as a key supporter of ISIS and jihadist terror in the region.

Because we have learned from the harsh history we and our mothers and daughters and sisters have experienced as Kurds. Because we know the only form of defense is self defence and non reliance on others. Because no one holds our honor and dignity but ourselves. Because we are free women. Because we refuse to be subjected.

May god help us all when a former al-Qaeda and ISIS member has so effortlessly and with the full consent of the global community waltzed into this presidency. Shame for and feeling utter disgust towards the international community does not capture the emotions that we have as Kurds in seeing this. We did not fight ISIS and lose 12,000 of us so you can welcome these terrorists into power.

@well_goncalves8 @karimfranceschi All of it goes for AANES. It can never impose itself. If it does so the SDF have a right to resist it because now it’s being oppressive and reproducing state style forms of violence and oppression.

@well_goncalves8 @karimfranceschi SDF cannot ideologically impose itself on anyone. People can only join willingly and be supported to implement the democratic model but never forced or pressured to do so. Any community who wishes to join in a welcome to.
