Cool look at the effect of mechanical tension on skeletal muscle. Conclusion: CSA increases, but it’s still not really clear what’s going on at the level of the muscle fibers, myofibrils, and individual myofilaments

Interesting look at caffeine timing. 1-h pre: highest plasma caffeine levels pre-ex. 30-min pre: highest post-ex. Sipping on caffeine during the 30-60-min pre-ex window might offer best of both and maintain caffeine levels through training @PSullivanHarty

The importance of nutrient timing is context dependent. However, NOT eating around training has never been shown to be better than eating for optimizing performance. Look at the peri-exercise period as an opportunity to fuel for exercise and recovery
