The gods were on my side today, as sitting having a late lunch looking out the window at the birds, a beautiful

came out of the bush on our property. Not super sharp as the shots were through the window, but, I'll take them.🙂

While trying to get a bird shot late in the day, (shooting at 5000 ISO) Reddy Fox came up our path from the river. I quickly repositioned the camera and shot this through the window. He heard me and stopped to pose. Thanks Reddy!!👍🙂

Madame Cardinal came back this afternoon specifically to show me that she is way better looking than the old man in his red coat and grumpy face and, she was first at the feeder again too.😃

So lucky this morning as a Bald Eagle landed in a tree out front and kindly faced my way. A little stalking brought me close enough to get a decent shot, including Mr Crow who was pestering the Eagle.

The Bald Eagle came back again this morning, but this time I got closer and got this shot of lift-off. Have not done this before.🙃

This was Princess Sophie's last day. Here she is when just under a year old with my Princess Paulene. Together again. I greatly appreciate all my Twitter friend's love and care but I won't be able to reply to posts related to this. It's been a very hard patch to deal with.
This Angelic Mourning Dove that dropped by on a dull and dreary morning today, is for our American family and friends, who need need a little love in these crazy times. Please stay safe from the Pandemic, and sane from all the rest of it.🥰

While walking with a friend this morning we spotted this guy way up in a tree. The camera I was carrying could not pull it in, so I went home and got another. Thankfully the bird was still there and I managed to get a shot of (I think) a Peregrine Falcon

We normally think of Chickadees as fliting from branch to branch at a quick pace showing mostly wings and fast movement. But sometimes they don't use wings, slipping by on the quiet to have a look.😉

Was so thrilled to look out the window this morning towards the river and see these two
#Coyotes
not 40 yards from the house in an area I keep cut back. They were so handsome, look at those eyes. A minute or two later and I would have missed them.

Sammy's younger brother comes storming in at full speed like a confident teenager, even giving me the side-eye when doing it. Kids!😉

Coming from and going to the feeder. The Orioles sure were fun, but I think we have seen the last of them until perhaps when they migrate back. This from a few days ago when they blessed us with their presence.

A long range shot of a Bald Eagle looking over the Ottawa River. When we first built here 38 years ago, we never saw them, and now they seem like neighbours.

Madame Cardinal drops by for a visit, wearing her grumpy face. Not sure what she is thinking but I didn't want to get in an argument with her. 🙂

A gloomy start to a wet weekend, so I found this photo of Paulene and Sophie in their happy place in the sun. It's been a year since I lost them both, but this brings joy back into a wet weekend, as I'm on the last stretch of publishing my book honoring and remembering Paulene.😊
I know she is not flying, but Madame Cardinal looks so good as she concentrates intently on what is on the ground, and how she will get it before her old man does.😅

I miss not having a dog to walk, so offered a neighbour and friend to walk her dog

Reddy Fox caught at our place as he makes his rounds. You never know when it might come by, lucky I had the camera near when Paulene called out "he's here"

Sophie and I took advantage of the lower waters and nice sunset to get out in the canoe for awhile yesterday. She seems to be enjoying this quiet time on the water as much as any of us do.
