The entire event was just marketing, everything was for Bedrock, even the MCC official event is happening on Bedrock despite it being a primarily Java tournament. Having a Bedrock exclusive map that’s modded to hell be celebrating the game’s history feels so strange.

The 15 days were fun for like three days, and after that I’ve seen an overwhelming “ok i guess” response or not response at all to every day after that. The exception is MCC, but again it’s hard to find that cool when they’ve made the Java tournament happen on Bedrock.

If you don’t intend to have the shards have any other use then I think the compass should just be gotten straight from the loot, there’s no need for the shards to exist. But the compass is great, adds a nice exclusive item to the cities that they definitely needed. 1/2
