Trending isn’t a job, and if it’s stressing you out, feel free to take a break. The main point of trending is to show love and support for our faves and to express how much we want them to get more events or opportunities. It turns into competition because every fandom feels the same way, and some go the extra mile out of love for their faves. Unfortunately, there are only so many opportunities, and from a business perspective, the fandoms putting in more effort are the ones that get more jobs. That’s just the sad reality. We’ve all complained about them not getting enough opportunities before, and I do agree trending can sometimes feel like a chore (scheduling tweets, etc.), but honestly, I’d rather do that than read complaints and negativity in my tl. Like I mean if you have the time and energy to complain, trending is actually easier and less taxing on your mental health. At the end of the day, we can support the boys in different ways—whether it’s attending concerts/events, buying merch, streaming, or whatever you like. It’s all good. We just want the best for our faves and to have fun in the fandom. What we shouldn’t do is to start fights with other fandoms or people. Let’s mind our business and be respectful—our faves are talented, unproblematic, and perfect. Even if you only spend a little time with them, you’ll love them. Let’s not close the door for others who might want to join the fandom just because they don’t like ours.
