a good rule for comics is to draw at 60-70% of your total skill. If you go full 100% for every panel, you're going to be 1)very slow at updating 2)burn yourself out quickly 3)damage your wrists 4)get upset at majority of readers speedscrolling past the panel you spent 3 weeks on

Why disappear for months at a time, to only come online to post commission snippets + a ton of personal projects, while neglecting those who've actually paid you?

and some negotiations go nowhere, especially without pricey lawyers. WT may retract offers if you negotiate 'too much'.

what worked for me during the transition is to, for a set time, only draw comics and absolutely no illusts. Once I the comic mindset clicked and set in, then I began drawing illustrations again and didn't "relapse" back into the illust mindset

reminder that all Korean webtoons =/= made by studios. Studio ones are frequently translated overseas because of their high quality art & corporatized stories, but there are tons of unique Korean webtoons made by an individual (plus an assistant or two) that never gets translated
