@Sargon_of_Akkad @C4Dispatches @ellieflynn There's a definite echo of the '10 hours' video here. "We regret the unintended racial bias in the editing of the video ... We got a fair amount of white guys, but for whatever reason, a lot of what they said was in passing, or off camera." "for whatever reason"

@AuronMacintyre Some will point to race, but I swear this is the result of generation on generation of the family unit in complete freefall - no fathers, but random abusive strangers, mothers by biological fact only, but who in every other sense is basically a reckless sibling, a child herself.

@mstein609 @protest_ant @thatmaninahat @Sargon_of_Akkad @elonmusk "I am left wondering ... " A third option 3. There is no agreed understanding of what "systemic" in "systemic injustice" means, but there are many who clearly use it as a magic totem therefore any argument using "systemic X" should be treated as a fallacy until further notice.

@crimlawuk Every time I travel abroad, I get treated like a dangerous felon - belts and shoes removed, metal decectors, bag checks, etc. Then lining up at border control with proper documents, passports and visas. If it's *not* illegal to just mosey on in without all that, why do it?

@BDSixsmith "Following the interview, Cheryl Varley, a BBC Radio 5 Live producer, said the organisation ..." Will take Nihal off air? Launch an investigation into Nihal? Give him a warning? Oh, no: "... is committed to tackling the lack of diversity in its newsrooms." F🔥 these people.

@Abdul_Q_86 @Sargon_of_Akkad That's not what happened at all. Jo Cox has been canonised not only by Labour, but by the mainstream media and the Conservative Party. Barely anyone can even name the Conservative MP who was brutally stabbed to death.

@kirbsanon Honestly, I don't think it's that mysterious. Learning that what you might have once thought were your brighter points - charm, wit, talent, generosity, whatever - aren't really worth anything must be quite a tough way to find out you've never been anything close to special.

@LeoKearse They want these Londoners to be responsible for having £18 trillion taken out of the economy over the next 15-20 years as reparations for slavery the British Navy helped bring to an end over 200 years ago? Truly, we live in an age of miracles ...

@LeoKearse "Should the cops have shot these dogs?" Without a shadow of a doubt, yes. I love dogs, including intelligent guard dogs such as Alsatians and the like. But four-legged gun-barrel thick land sharks bred for murder is some kind of Ramsay Bolton Game of Thrones shit no one needs.

@mohammed_hijab @DouglasKMurray There is no "Promoting harmony and respect" here It's clearly a unilateral demand that something be respected under threat of violence. That it was apparently done as a dare shows clearly the boys understood this. Pretending it is anything other than that is deeply dishonest.

@ThePosieParker It would be truly ironic if Labour lost the last election in part due to the scandal of anti-Semitism and the next one due to a scandal of misogyny / transphobia. Meanwhile, the 'nasty' party has had two, technically three, women PMs, and now a South Asian heritage one.

@KeenanPeachy I sincerely hope that such young men as they are seeking out have the sense (and financial resources) to tell them to go f🔥k themselves.

@LeoKearse While I'm not a cheerleader for football hooliganism, there is nevertheless quite a stark contrast in the - what can we call it? - 'community policing strategies' in comparable situations that raise one or two questions ...

@JaniceFiamengo "Is it possible they are bots?" Possible, yes. Yet the 'training', as it were, that they have is so effective that it would be almost impossible to tell.
