Got a question earlier about how to reach a top 10k finish and even tho it’s a fair bit of luck involved I’ve managed two top 10k in four season not being far off the other two seasons eighter. So I thought I could share some of my thoughts. This has been my best season so:

3. Stick to a template team. Pay attention to EO. Don’t bet against Haaland who has 90% EO against you. It’s just not worth it when he bangs four and your season is ruined. Cap the most safe player. The players you gain on is player nr. 8-11. Have trust in your players. Suddenly:

2. Don’t do early transfers. Gather as much information as needed. This season I didn’t make a single transfer more that 15 hours before deadline. Not a single one. Don’t chase prices. It does really not matter much anyways. Information is much more valueable.

4. Play your own game. BGW29 was a perfect example of that. Few games. Few players that everyone had. Low upside. Easy to plan. I was never in a million years going to FH that GW. Saw an oportunity to gain huge on FH later on. Wildcarded in 30 to set up a team for DGW37.

1. Don’t stress about a bad start. Use information early on to look at players who look good. I started the season slow and decided to pull the WC trigger in DGW7 to be early on players looking good and get some doublers. That kicked my season on!

6. Lastly. Have fun. Don’t stress about anything. It’s down to faith anyways in the end. You win some and lose some. If you have a rational way of playing then you gain little by little over the course. The pictures show what I mean. 7M GW rank happens.Just accept it and move on.

High risk and high upside. FH34 was a banger. No hits in the lead up and many on FH were flying. FH is a very powerful chip in a DGW and my biggest scores have been on FH in a DGW. Much more powerful than in a blank GW.

The plan was always to have Haaland through 18 so your world is maybe a bit different from ours. In my world it’s pointless using two free transfers worth 8 points on one player for two gameweeks.

Dear to take hits when needed. After FH34 I saw huge upside in taking a couple of hits to set up a team for DGW37. This lead to three crazy good gameweeks in a row. Four including FH34. Took me from 44k to 2,5k in five gameweeks.

If fpl influence your mental health you should try something I did in my fourth season playing. I didn’t use my main user to play. I made a new account without saying to anyone that I played. I needed that. Did fairly well too. 17k in the 21/22 season. Refreshing.

What I’m most proud of this season is that I’ve not taken one single early transfer all season. I’ve not made one transfer before press conferences. 95% of all transfers in the last hours before deadline. That’s made a massive difference having a 4k rank for now.

3,5k rank this season. I am very proud of that. Been a fun ride after a slow start. In my own view I’ve played some good FPL this season doing things that way I believe is the best way playing this game. Thanks for all the interactions this season. I’ve learned a lot from you ❤️

One of the best skills to have in playing FPL is patience. Over the course of a season you’ll always gain by being patient. I’ve not made a single transfer more than 12 hours before deadline this season. I think I’ve used the extra information provided to me pretty well so far.

Interessting this. There were fewer players playing so much in earlier year. Class of 92 boys, Gerrard, Xavi, Iniesta, Lampard, Terry. All those guys had a whole different path to the top. Nowadays it’s almost like you have to peak at 20.

Nothing is as fun as owning a player like Alvarez on FPL. 2-3% EO, has hauled with a game to go, has Leeds in the weekend and people is hesitant to bring him in due to rotation risk. Add that KdB injury to the mix and you got your nailed 6 mill City attacker for yourself!
