Kelly was able to complete her research during a month-long research block that many of our residents utilize during their training.

After applying to the track during the second half of their PGY-1 year, our track residents complete a 2 year teaching curriculum that culminates in a capstone project and month long rotation as a dedicated teaching resident for the residency and medical school.

Today we are highlighting our POCUS and tech guru Dr. Ernest Fischer! Dr. Fischer is heavily involved in helping shape our didactics curriculum and has a special interest in POCUS. Here he is teaching our monthly Simulation course on US-guided PIVs and central lines.

Richie Diaz is one of our Med-Peds PGY-4’s. Her hometown is Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She loves checking out all the DC rooftop happy hours, going to the municipal fish market, and tubing at various river spots in the area.
