Growing up in Lawrence County, I was surrounded by Black Male educators. So I’m not surprised I became one myself. After 17 years as a classroom teacher, this is my final week. But I’m so excited about what’s next! Just know that it will still be about students and families.

Milestone moment. I just purchased my first art piece. It just so happens that the artist is one of my math students. Not only is she a great artist but she’s also a good business person. I had to negotiate with her to get this. lol!!!

I told my best friend that I would love to pursue higher education. But that student loan debt almost locked me out of the home buying process. That debt to income ratio could kill your dreams. They didn’t tell us about that when they told us to pursue college.
