@Theo_TJ_Jordan @Suspect_81 @eyeslasho Right or wrong, I was a bit more irritated at i/o... But dammit, we can't just believe the euphemisms!
I'm almost irritated enough to stop following you. "DOGE's first two casualties were an agency that protects consumers from predatory capitalism and another that has done more good around the world than probably any other government agency on earth. Both agencies, probably not coincidentally, are favorites of liberals." CFPB was not something I asked for. I certainly did not want an agency set up outside of the Constitution. The Federal Reserve is bad enough. The CFPB was designed to force banks to implement a leftist agenda outside of democratic control. It was anti-democratic and answerable to no one. There are at least FOUR other government organizations to regulate the financial industry. We don't need FIVE. It makes no sense (unless you're a Marxist revolutionary). Seriously, WTF. Don't be a leftist clown. Then USAID. I'm sorry, but your treemap breakdown of euphemisms is not accurate, and you probably know it. "Economic development" covers paying the Taliban to grow opium? "Humanitarian assistance" is the bag of grain I see with Hezbollah?? "Health" is the millions on condoms for Hamas-run Gaza or transgender ideaology everywhere??? "Peace and security" was bribing the Taliban to not attack us???? Why not all at once with a "multi sector" contract????? Seriously, GFY. USAID is not a force for good. At BEST, it's a left-wing slush fund to BRIBE foreign entities and spread the worst kind of American influence IN MY NAME with my money. They can go away. Bye! Gone. The Secretary of State can separate the bad from the good and redirect it to less morally questionable regimes around the world. Don't be a tool.

@BristbyJohn @eyeslasho Do not gaslight me about the open and loud Marxists running around. I don't empathize with Marxists. They don't empathize either. They only believe in material and power. That's why they're Marxists. Don't be a Marxist.

@ChrisMurphyCT The courts and Congress do not get to arbitrarily hold up the basic functions of the Executive Branch. Your Biden cabal disregarded the law every day. This will go to SCOTUS, don't worry. We see your hypocrisy.

@Liz_Cheney @JDVance You're just as ignorant as half of X. This is about following the law and the Constitution, not following the media and sophistry. This will get its day at the SCOTUS, don't worry.
To be clear, what the @DOGE team and @USTreasury have jointly agreed makes sense is the following: - Require that all outgoing government payments have a payment categorization code, which is necessary in order to pass financial audits. This is frequently left blank, making audits almost impossible. - All payments must also include a rationale for the payment in the comment field, which is currently left blank. Importantly, we are not yet applying ANY judgment to this rationale, but simply requiring that SOME attempt be made to explain the payment more than NOTHING! - The DO-NOT-PAY list of entities known to be fraudulent or people who are dead or are probable fronts for terrorist organizations or do not match Congressional appropriations must actually be implemented and not ignored. Also, it can currently take up to a year to get on this list, which is far too long. This list should be updated at least weekly, if not daily. The above super obvious and necessary changes are being implemented by existing, long-time career government employees, not anyone from @DOGE. It is ridiculous that these changes didn’t exist already! Yesterday, I was told that there are currently over $100B/year of entitlements payments to individuals with no SSN or even a temporary ID number. If accurate, this is extremely suspicious. When I asked if anyone at Treasury had a rough guess for what percentage of that number is unequivocal and obvious fraud, the consensus in the room was about half, so $50B/year or $1B/week!! This is utterly insane and must be addressed immediately.

@ZaidJilani Don't be petty. This is always the last defense against Elon. 'He must be a fake.' Nah, mate. Better people have tried and failed. It's terrifying to have a billionaire with purpose working against you, huh? Say that to any conservative, and they'll say "George Soros."

@eyeslasho @jakejames I see so much similarly to the Hamas situation that I feel like nuance is where the Devil comes out to play indeed. "Not the government" is an easy excuse to play the "inside-outside" game very effectively. We have too many soft lines in the wrong areas. "Anti-racism."

@ZaidJilani The CFPB is not affecting change but entrenching it. Regulatory capture is a thing... time and time again. Exhibit A: Banks themselves.

@ZaidJilani "many Democrats confused it with real life and argued for stupid things" I can forgive them if they can forgive. We're a nation of hypocrites. We have to stop and forgive. Otherwise, we're all riding the spiral down together.
