Another measles outbreak in a community with low vaccination rates. Who could possibly have seen that coming? And no, measles in not a benign illness. 1 in 4 patients will be hospitalized. Approximately 1-2 per 1,000 will die.

Great idea, @SenJohnKennedy. Just thinking of one of the Medicaid patients that I saw this week. He's made it out of the hospital. So I guess he could go to work now. But he was born 3 months early. He's 3 months old. He weighs 8 pounds now. What job will you give him?
Senator John Kennedy wants people on Medicaid to "get off your ass" and get jobs. Some of the most common disabilities among Medicaid recipients are: Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injuries. Last time I checked, MAGA was screeching about federal initiatives to give people with these conditions jobs.

Unfortunately, many Americans may never realize what they have done to their country. Their children and grandchildren will.
It is going to be heartbreaking watching Americans slowly realise what they have done to their country.

@ConlonJmconlon Absolutely. It's one of the most fun and important things that we do. But that is just for kids through age 5 at well visits. These books are for kids of all ages at any visit. Totally awesome!

@cuppydat @AnnieAndrewsMD @SenBillCassidy Numerous studies have shown that the MMR vaccine does not cause autism. It does, however, prevent measles and deaths from measles.

bill cassidy created a program to vaccinate nearly 36,000 children in Baton Rouge, against hep B and pushed for more funding vaccinations, but voted to confirm an antivaxxer to lead the nation's top health department???? Make it make sense
