This I am posting on behalf of a dear young family member who we lost last night to the big C. A message she wished to reach far and wide in the medical fraternity : This is a plea to all the #doctors, especially #Oncologist to NOT stop investigating a 'borderline' diagnosis of biopsy as commonly done as the practice now. Assume the worst at the point, go further with tests like #IHC, #CA125 and #PET scans (and anything better and accurate we wish that will come in the future) as early as possible if the patient has a family history (even otherwise) 🙏🏽 We were adviced that a 'borderline' cyst after total hysterectomy and oophorectomy is of no C risk. Asked to do just periodic reviews that were all looking great. When the devil struck later from nowhere and sudden, it rained hell, costing the life and a family within 4 months from the day of diagnosing as a stage-4 malignancy.
