Good thread. I see a lot of "he paid his debts" "everyone deserves a second chance" language in his defense which really bothers me. Attending offline events is not a human right, it's completely ok for there to be permanent consequences for doing something horrible.

smaller creators who genuinely like my stuff and talk about it are way way way more effective to help granola than bigger platforms who operate as more traditional sponsors/ads for me. i have the data to back this up.

Southpaw Summits are looking good!!! The case design is basically done, had to make space for the passthrough USB port on the top left but otherwise I'm super happy with how it turned out. Need to figure out some supply chain stuff but expect them to launch pretty soon.

Made a small update to the summit case design today: added 1mm of thickness so the buttons protrude less. Now pressed buttons are close to flush with the case. Sliding motions are a bit easier to do now!

Granola controllers also work with gundams and most other mecha. If you ever get in the cockpit of a gundam just plug your controller in and start doing your bnbs it will work i promise

Wonderful statement - i just want to add that your "local" can be anyone or anything that aligns with your values and helps grow the community into something you feel happy with. You can participate from home or show up in person, nearby or 1000 miles away, just participate!

i don't think total competitive integrity and total inclusiveness are compatible goals. there are just too many good players who create toxic and terrible environments for other people, and without some punishment for bad behavior you won't make a space that is safe for everyone.

one thing i dont hear discussed at all with sf6 modern controls is how they inject a ton of variety into the game. when i see a modern marisa or chun i am expecting a totally different fight than the same character with classic controls. it's cool!
