Also my hot take is skipping ARR or skipping through all the cutscenes for ARR makes FFXIV feel like an actively worse game. I've talked to people who tried FFXIV and described it as "confusing" or "too grindy" only to find out they skipped ARR or skipped all the cutscenes
I get so sad when people keep saying "skip ARR" in FFXIV because... it's the world setting? The slow start in which you get to be familiar with certain names, places, politics, races...
Like if you want fast paced story and action and all, maybe pick some other game no? 🥹
