@10arc10 @wallin_ballin You just have to consider the market that Over Texas is in, the ride will naturally get compared by the GP (and enthusiasts..) to Dr. Diabolical and has to make itself different enough. Plus, it’s been quite a long time since Over Texas got a large thrill coaster.

@wallin_ballin @coastersnbrews I mean, a dive coaster that small would seem dumb, but then again, the fine folks at Alton Towers managed to make one around that size of the most impressive versions of the model

@Tower_Topics Both of the Kings parks retaining former homes on their property is a fun quirk of the 70s amusement industry, but KD’s is smack in the center of the parking lot and being used as pet boarding even today as by far the oldest building on property is interesting

@passwonderland @JimShull Yeah, it’s a completely new concept but it’s been built over decades of progress. I think the lineage may come from Hanna-Barbera Land, oddly enough also in Texas. But that concept flopped in the 80s even with a strong brand association. Hope the same isn’t the case for Frisco.

@ElToroRyan Not sure if this is in your video for FOF or not, but heres an old master plan that shows FOF originally being conceived as a Star Trek coaster as early as November 1994. Here’s the original post as well.

@TPRBrandon I think since it’s set in the fall, a fall release would hit that much harder.

@BGWFans @BuschGardensVA It’s just the name. This is a roller coaster after all and calling it this is just the best marketing move. A family invert is going to be great for the whole family just like the original was, plus this name is just a lot better than any of the other names they offered
