It’s such an honor to have @CNBC recognize what we’ve been working on for two and a half years and now our great Commonwealth has been named America’s Top State for Business.

This morning, we grieved as a community. 67 souls lost—each with families, friends, and dreams. We hold them in our hearts, across states and borders, and come together to support one another. In this time of deep sorrow, let’s wrap these families in compassion, prayer, and hope.

As we feared when we first saw the horrible disaster last night, we’ve learned Virginia families were among those lost. To protect their privacy the details have not been released. Please lift their loved ones, friends, neighbors, and our communities up in prayer tonight.

Emergency personnel from across the region continue their recovery efforts this morning. We are lifting-up in prayer the families of the passengers and crews. The NTSB is leading the investigation with our full cooperation and support.

I have been briefed by our Emergency Management team and Virginia State Police about the tragic crash at Reagan National Airport tonight. Extensive resources are fully supporting the search and rescue efforts.

First responders from across Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland mobilized quickly. I ask everyone to pray for the passengers, crews, their families, and brave first responders.

Today, Senate Democrats rejected highly-qualified, nationally-recognized individuals who have already been serving with distinction on a volunteer basis. This isn’t just simply petty politics; their actions hurt Virginia.

This morning, we celebrated Virginia's trailblazers, and this afternoon, we mourn the loss of another—civil rights legend, Virginia State Senator, and Richmond’s first Black Mayor, Henry Marsh.

His courage, leadership, and relentless pursuit of justice have left a legacy that will continue to inspire for generations.

On #MaternalHealthAwarenessDay we joined with women, families, community members and health providers advocating for ways to protect and care for expectant mothers in Virginia. Together, we can make sure Virginia has healthy moms, families and communities.

Since day one, I’ve believed that at the heart of our Commonwealth is the right that parents have to make decisions for their children's education. I stand with parents across Virginia in opposition to SB 1031. We cannot allow this attack on homeschooling to become law.
