‘For every Hamas member that you kill, how many did you create?’
‘If you kill somebody’s child in Gaza, you’ve made at least a few Hamas members’
-Elon Musk on US-UK-EU-armed Israel’s bombardment of Gaza

Always thought that the slightly jerky stop motion effect works so well on skeletons because it's *supposed* to feel unnatural. They have no muscles and tendons, something else is making them move
15 January 1797. The first top hat was worn in public by John Hetherington, a London haberdasher. His appearance on the street caused a huge commotion. He was charged with “breaching the peace and incitement to riot” and had to pay a bond promising future good behaviour.
Had an interesting interaction with my wife's brother recently. He's one of those people who don't *really* get what I do. Seeing finished work just makes him go "oh okay", but when he actually saw me draw a shitty little doodle of a dog he completely lost his mind.
Henry Cavill is officially attached to star in and exec produce a live-action ‘WARHAMMER 40,000’ series.
Amazon is in final talks to acquire the series.

The stupidest answers to questions nobody asked. There is no "rest of the Mona Lisa", it is not a snippet of a larger thing that Da Vinci failed to depict because of his human limitations. I thought this was obvious
1. Ever wonder what the rest of the Mona Lisa looks like?

Firefly to help fill out the background for me with the power of AI
Here's what the backgrounds of the most famous paintings in the world look like with AI:
Tadanobu Asano as Yabushige in Shōgun has perfected the look and the demeanor of a man who's just been told he has to work this weekend. He manages to make a man with a perpetual "I was made for better things than this" attitude completely disarming
"Stay prayed up" perfectly illustrates the depths of his meatheadedness. There's no spirituality there, only a regimen. He remains unburdened by thought.
Imagine your overlords showing you the result of their perverted genetic experimentation. A member of your species so warped by dark science that only by some ghost of an instinct can you tell that you're kin. Luckily dogs aren't sentient so a husky can meet a pug and not scream
What I'm consistently amused by is the total pit that is this man's taste. He's like forty five years old and look at what he does. Forget AI and all that, just drink deeply of what he likes to look at
For anyone who thinks making great Ai art is always easy, requires no talent or skill, I challenge them to make an image of their own original character with the same pose, hand placement, sword position, as this image here from nothing but word prompts.
If all Ai art is low
Forever impressed by how closely Indian sculpture matches our modern ideal of VA-VA-VOOM. These are all, I think, from the era roughly corresponding to early-to-high middle ages but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
This is both infuriating and hilariously pathetic that this guy needs to create an AI image of him “drawing” the AI art. So many levels of clownery, I can bare contain it. 🤡
Man, tone really is everything. A scene like this could read downright mythological if the dominant posture in popular fiction was something other than a smirking glance at the camera. Rancid stuff. The squirrel dropping the nut I mean what is this, Family Guy?
Accidentally wandered into the fandom side of twitter and I dunno man I feel like these younglings think bad writing is when their favorite character doesn't win
But yeah I think that some people need to actually see art getting made for it to click in their mind that hey a person did this from scratch, for real.
This year, my Patreon will focus on what I'm gonna call Kernels, little speculative fiction concept seeds that you, my esteemed followers, can fantasize about, expand upon, and make use of.
First Kernel - The Magiclock Rifle
In case you didn't know, the wizard pondering the orb from the meme is actually Saruman and Angus McBride, the artist who painted the piece, has a lot more incredibly cool Middle Earth stuff.
Had an uncontrollable desire to draw something in the classic comic-dynamic Franco-Belgian style. Figured the four main vampires from What We Do in the Shadows would be a great fit.
The wrongest attitude I can't seem to shake is my unwillingness to draw in sketchbooks because my doodles aren't worth putting on something that concrete and permanent. Meanwhile the chad in Krogsta
Also important to note that all of these books are called like "The Daily Habits of Effective Alpha Generals" and they only ever read the digest versions
In case you were worried that people won't be able to discern AI generated propaganda from reality you weren't nearly worried enough. A lot of folks seem to be fooled by this, an image featuring a random disembodied human hand wrapped in grey thread right next to the focal point
Sam Altman says increasing AI capabilities will require some change to the social contract, "the whole structure of society itself will be up for some degree of debate and reconfiguration"
Been scrolling for a few minutes and every single opinion is about superhero comics so my cancellable take would be that superheroes should never have become a genre so dominant (at least in the US) that it's basically interchangeable with the medium itself
Generated imagery will finally allow creators with such original ideas as "a love story set in Paris I dunno" to bring their vision to disturbing, uncanny life
Well, someone did it.
They made an AI movie.
And it’s coming this summer.
If the dead-eyed visuals weren’t enough to turn you off, the writing and acting certainly advertise why we still need HUMAN actors, writers and directors involved in the creative process.
Now THIS sucks
This continues to baffle me. It's not like it's easier to use chatgpt, you're typing things in as you always do but sadly buzzwords are a powerful draw
Alright I gave the Witch King a go. In my head LotR features no plate armor so I decided to give this guy a little Byzantine-influenced getup, which I think could read very Númenórean. I also thought it would be cool for him to bear an iron portrait of his own screaming face.
