Like the High Court said today, "Enough is Enough!" @DrPramodPSawant @visrane This is not the time for your political blame game while patients are dying due to lack of oxygen. This is gross negligence & institutional murder! .#FixOxygenCrisisGoa.

@JuliusKizito10 Heart got stomped on quite a bit this year, most people tell you to distract yourself / keep busy, but my best friend reminded me that you have to feel things fully and wholly to even begin to get past it.

In a first, a friend I made today told me I have a beautiful smile 🫣😅 and wished for me something special: that the world keeps giving me reasons to smile, but moreover that when it doesn't - that I find the strength to smile anyway. Think I found my wish for 24! #novemberbaby

Would like @narendramodi to pull a Lakshadweep on these exorbitant English proficiency tests and start an accessible Indian equivalent. I mean Rs. 17K to prove I can communicate in English after I've submitted an entire application in this language ?!?!.

Reminded me of my first weekend in Guwahati, homesick and ready to go back. On a whim, I took an hour-long bike ride to watch the sunset at Deepor Beel. Somehow, by the end, everything felt lighter. A reminder that while much is out of our control, some things still are.
life update (unsolicited): i took myself out to deepor beel today. sat there for two hours gazing at the lake. took some pictures, and i’m feeling a lot better now

One of my NY's resolutions is to start writing about/for Goa, and hopefully frequently. First Sunday column for the @oheraldogoa that I grew up reading, so quite a full circle moment. Drew from parliamentary work in New Delhi to examine whether our Goan MPs are doing enough?

Excited to join this year’s cohort! My research & writing will focus on the financial gaps in India’s national budget for addressing climate-induced displacement—crucial as India ranks among the highest globally in climate-displaced populations. Always open to insights and leads!.

Women’s bodies being held hostage to population targets as usual. How about creating a conducive ecosystem for women to join the labour force first?.
BIG NEWS 🚨 Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu urges South Indians to have more children for the benefit of the nation. "We will bring in a new law to make only those with more than two children eligible to contest local elections". He expressed concern over ageing southern states.

finally some kind of closure after our worlds turned upside down in March 2020. think some of the vacuum has finally been filled; pinching myself that it's actually over but reminding myself that it's time for brighter and better things!.#convocation🎓.#pandemicbatch

So pumped to find my abstract was accepted for the @cambridgekscope Graduate Conference in June. Twitter has made academia so much more accessible for me - would never have known about the conference, or how to apply, or about so many incredible researchers in this niche field.

“Climate is where the money is,” Jesus. Still wrapping my head around how climate has become a money-making business & avenue to flush down money through international conferences while vulnerable communities lose lives and livelihoods to climate change every single day.

I think no matter how old you are + how independent you may be -- falling sick just makes you wish you were at home & in mom's care. For Goan families, it's steady supply of deeply nourishing pez/kanji with pickle or dried sungta 🏠 #sickdays.
