So every person who paid income tax in 2023 spent the grand total of 39p a week i.e. £20 to support those seeking asylum. Seems like pretty good value for money!

£726 million was spent on refugee households claiming Universal Credit in 2023. Not a penny should be spent on benefits for anyone arriving in our country illegally - in fact, I'm very much of the view that they should all be deported. No benefits, other than a plane ticket.

@SarahVia6 If that's your comparison then you're an even bigger fucking idiot than I thought and a complete waste of my time. You claim to be educated yet take pride in your total ignorance on subjects and examplify the failings in the US education system. Bye!

@SarahVia6 @Verius92 @USNA_73 @zach_hazard No I'm not. I'm pointing out the stupidity of your free market theory. You think OSHA doesn't work? Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't work. Before osha, the number of deaths at work was 3x that figure! They stop plenty! It just doesn't affect you

@SarahVia6 @Verius92 @USNA_73 @zach_hazard In the US in 2023, someone died in a work related accident every 99 minutes. I bet you didn't boycott a single company involved and yet you had every chance to. I bet you can't even name any of the companies. That is why your free market theory is nothing but a fantasy.

@SarahVia6 @Verius92 @USNA_73 @zach_hazard Yes because it happens every day. People don't care enough about safety regulations because they can't use the bible to get outraged over it.

@SarahVia6 @Verius92 @USNA_73 @zach_hazard In fact poor working conditions are one of the known downsides to a free market economy.

@SarahVia6 @Verius92 @USNA_73 @zach_hazard You live in a capitalistic society where people care about the cost of goods and companies care about producing whatever they can as cheap as they can. That's the bottom line.

@SarahVia6 @Verius92 @USNA_73 @zach_hazard Absolutely nothing is stopping those market forces from having that effect anywhere in the world. You know why it doesn't? Because that's not any market is influenced. People don't care enough about worker safety. If they did, it would have an affect in at least 1 country.

@SarahVia6 @Verius92 @USNA_73 @zach_hazard 3. Fines are part of enforcement. They help fund those agencies and are part of a raft of means of compliance and punishment. 4.they have been granted it. 5. By many people not dying at work or coming down with occupational diseases! They have fallen since OSHA started

@SarahVia6 @Verius92 @USNA_73 @zach_hazard 1. If your hypothesis was correct, counties that do have free market economies wouldn't have deaths at work but they do because that's not how health & safety works. 2. Yes and just think how much worse it would be without them. Like before they existed! Have you even looked?

@SarahVia6 @Verius92 @USNA_73 @zach_hazard Ok let's take OKC as an example - no OSHA state plan and very limited coverage of H&S regulation. No general enforcement or investigation of H&S or incidents.
