U.S. Must Act on Its Commitment to Stop Arms Trafficking to Mexico! 🚨 John Lindsay-Poland (@stopusarmstomx & @globalexchange ) was recently interviewed by @lajornadaonline about the U.S. government's failure to address arms trafficking. While Trump is celebrating a deal with Mexico to stop fentanyl trafficking, he remains silent on the promise to curb the flow of deadly weapons to Mexican cartels. The U.S. must take immediate action within the next 30 days, including: confiscating more firearms at the border, inspecting arms dealers linked to trafficking, arresting those involved in illicit arms trade, banning .50 caliber rifles favored by cartels, requiring background checks in key states like Texas, Arizona, and Florida. At last, a ceasefire! After 465 days of Israel’s genocidal campaign, a ceasefire in Gaza has been confirmed. Israel’s violence has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of Palestinians, including more than 17,500 children, and displaced 90% of Gaza’s population.
