On the final day we leaned about the two new caucuses that will allow the full and effective participation of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities respectively. We hope for the growth and the increased interconnection between all three of the Rio Conventions. @GofTomorrow @alianzabosques @SaraOmi30

Women from our Indigenous Peoples and local communities are on the frontlines of both the climate crisis and its solutions. Despite facing disproportionate risks—14 times more likely to die in disasters—they lead efforts to preserve biodiversity, protect forests, and combat climate change through ancestral knowledge and sustainable practices. Ensuring their rights and meaningful participation it’s key to safeguarding our planet's future, as they guard Mother Earth. #ClimateAction #IndigenousWomen #GenderEquality

Did you know there are three different COPs addressing our planet’s most pressing crises? 🌏 Since 1992, the Rio Conventions—UNFCCC, CBD, and UNCCD—have worked to combat climate change, biodiversity loss, and desertification. These challenges are deeply interconnected, and so are the solutions. Indigenous Peoples' traditional knowledge and stewardship are vital in this effort, offering pathways to resilience and sustainability. This year, GATC joined UNCCD, amplifying Indigenous Peoples voices across all three conventions and shaping a future that values both people and planet. @GofTomorrow #IndigenousKnowledge #ClimateAction #RioConventions #GATC

Indigenous women and women from local communities carry the heartbeat of the land in our veins. To guard our bodies is to honor and safeguard our ancestral territories. Every act of protection, every step toward safety, and every voice raised for our rights is a stand for the preservation of life—of women, of forests, of our shared Earth. This #16DaysofWomenActivism, we remember: the well-being of women and the well-being of our territories are intertwined. Harm to one is harm to all. Let’s defend both with urgency and unity. #GuardiansOfTomorrow
