Seems like a good time to reflect on the work of @joshuaweishart Segregation, in whatever form, is counter to our thriving. Let’s go into 2025 with energy to expand the public good.
OTD 69 years ago, Brown v. Board outlawed "separate but equal." SCOTUS thereafter excused separate & unequal schooling in deference to "separate but free." A 21st Century Brown should outlaw this new doctrine, starting with segregative school choice.

Every 2nd Saturday, this village of skilled volunteers shares abundance with our neighbors. New volunteers always leave saying, “See you next time!” ❤️Community is everything ❤️
Today Conejo Valley volunteers provided fresh food for 5697 meals to families. How does this happen each week in the community? Produce, food supplies and 67 volunteers from Food Share VC, Food Forward, Community Action Ventura County, Art Trek, Kiwanis, Los Robles Hospital, Clinicas, Rotary, CRPD, USDA, City Toaks, Adelante, Conejo CCA, Assistance League, CVUSD, Athens Services, Conejo Community Outreach, Scouting America. Every week in the Conejo our partner Food Share Conejo pantries deliver the same. Nearly a million pounds of food each year saved and delivered to Conejo Families with our food network.
