First night in Germany, opened a hotel window for ventilation, and it started falling downwards...Thought I'd broken an expensive window in my very first hour here! Called hotel staff, turns out there something called tilt-and-turn window.. 😭 #CultureShock

One of my dreams is to write an article about German sex tourists in the red light districts of the Philippines. There are hundreds (maybe thousands) of half-German children with unreachable, sex tourist fathers. If not sex tourists, grimy old men who prey on poor Filipinas.

Going to mention something negative about Germany that I'm genuinely curious about. Having been in many countries in the world, Germany is in my experience, by a huge margin, the society where so many people are seemingly one second away from a moment of anger with a stranger.

Today I saw this “I Am” thing in Düsseldorf in front of the Kö-Bogen. It says “I am the master of my fate”. It turns out it’s not an ad for the FDP, but for the Invictus Games, which will be held in the city in September. That means Harry and Meghan are coming to town!

Children of sex tourists end up stuck in a cycle of prostitution, since their mothers can’t afford a better quality of life for them. Sex tourists create more poverty in already impoverished areas. I’ve always wondered why the EU has never addressed children born from sex tourism

Gare du Nord in Paris has 245 million passengers per year, Hamburg Hauptbahnhof 196 million. Problem is, Gare du Nord has 32 platforms but Hamburg only 12. That creates an incredible train traffic and if you have to get your train there, you'll need some good nerves.

The city planners want you to visit the city centre which is not per se a bad thing. Almost all European cities have a similar concept but not the metropols. It creates overcapacity problems at intersection points.
