Gather 1.6.1 is now available This release brings major updates to the Gather Chrome Extension as well as general improvements and fixes to the Library and iOS and Mac Share Extensions. Google Chrome Share Extension Updates: We’ve made some big updates to the Google Chrome Share Extension. Now when you save photos, videos and links to your Gather Library from Chrome, you can add it right to your Collections, tag it, or add notes. Other Fixes and Improvements: - General improvements to performance, look and feel of the Library - When pressing the "Cancel" button in the Creation menu, you will now be prompted if you want to keep or discard your changes if you have already typed something - Added a menu option to open Links in the default browser - Fixed: Sometimes when saving Photos to your Library from the Share Extension, the option to add the item to Collections, associate tags with it, and add notes to it were not visible - Fixed: Sometimes when saving a link through the Share Extension, the link would not be processed correctly if the favicon URL was not an absolute link - Fixed: Removed redundant spacing that would appear above the keyboard when typing a note or searching the Library (iOS) - Fixed: Searching Media items would sometimes cause the app to crash or hang

Gather 1.6 is now available This release introduces the Media Collections to our Partners and Sponsors. Media Collections: Just as you can create folder-like Collections to organize your notes, you can now also create folder-like Media Collections to organize your media content. When you create a Collection, you will now see a new "Media" Collection type. You may add a media item to a Collection by using the new Collection Chooser in the Info panel. On the Mac, you can right-click on media items and you can also drag and drop any item from the Library or Finder into a collection. Share Extension: We've made improvements to the Share Extension, including the ability to add an item directly to a Collection right from within the Share Extension. Please note that this feature is not yet available for our Google Chrome browser extension - that is coming soon. Other Fixes and Improvements: - New masonry layout in the Media Library and Media Collections - Collection Picker now lists Collections in the order they were most recently used - Share Extension now remembers which tab (Collections, Tags, Notes) was previously selected - Ability to Tab move cursor from Page title to body - Page title field is now automatically focused when creating a new Page - Fixed: Keyboard now dismisses when opening main menu (iOS) - Fixed: Page would not be removed when deleted in certain circumstances - Fixed: Tag input would previously hijack keyboard events, even when not focused (macOS) - Fixed: Moving incomplete tasks no longer moves incomplete tasks from future dates - Fixed: Memory leak in the Share Extension that would prevent memory from being cleared when Share Extension was dismissed - Fixed: Random concurrency issues that would sometimes cause the app to crash

Gather 1.5 is now available This release introduces the Notes and Collections features to our Partners and Sponsors. Notes: We are introducing the long-awaited Notes functionality, the last of the three major pillars. While the Journal is perfect for short or ephemeral thoughts, Notes are perfect for longer, more detailed writing and lists. Rich text formatting and single-level lists are supported in Notes. Privacy: Like all your other Gather data, your notes are private. They are stored directly in your iCloud account, and are never visible to anyone else, including us. Organization: Use Collections to group related notes together, and even create subcollections to organize Collections further. Collections and Notes can be dragged and dropped in to other Collections. In addition, you can sort each Collection indepedently in whatever way makes sense for each group of notes. Search: Notes are integrated into global search, so you can search for your thoughts, notes, and media from one place. Universal Create: We've made it easier to add new content to Gather through a unified Create experience. From the + button (or Cmd + N on macOS), you'll be able to choose what kind of content you want to create, and optionally, which Collection you want to add it to. Export: Export your Notes at anytime to a CSV file. Note contents are exported as Markdown for optimal portability. General fixes and improvements: - Fixed: Theme preferences now correctly persist (macOS)
