I was thinking of writing something about this, but @dbressoud already did really well. The way we offer and teach Calculus in this country really is counterproductive.

@TimNovikoff @stevenstrogatz Thanks! Always good to try to read the translation of the original rather than a summary that was modernized. Euler was so methodical in his writing style.

@San_Tacos @edudissenter @SusanBEdelman @Chalkbeat I did see some good warm up problems and most teachers can be more effective by increasing inquiry based learning more than they currently do. What state are you teaching in and what is your guidance for how strictly to follow the IM scripts?
