Great work! Since getting pilled by @flashbots_x we have been working towards a spec for an L5 secure chip. @FabricCrypto is about to enter the architecture phase of our gen 2 chip. Anyone interested in building L5 security in hardware, DMs open
NEW @paradigm Research: The 5 Levels of Secure Hardware. Secure hardware combined with cryptography can be extremely powerful. We frame FIVE levels to secure hardware, where each level gives us access to more use cases, better performance, and higher security. Let's build.

@phildaian Happy to chime in here! So I can best answer- 1- What motivates the question? 2- you mean how fast is a DAC in delay and sampling rate? How many bits of precision and what process node?

super excited about ZK use cases like this -- in the long run, ZK + AI will enable deterministic, algorithmic adjudication in natural language!
1/ Why prediction markets need "zkTLS" and "zkLLM" 🧵 TL;DR: zkTLS + zkLLM can transform the resolution of a prediction market from an intersubjective task to an objective task. Refer to the table below (from the Eigen whitepaper) for definition of terms.

thanks @Ismael_H_R , we're excited to see where things go from here!
Congratulations to @gaoist, @hardwaretina and the @FabricCrypto team. Fabric’s VPU has the potential to materially change the cost and latency constraints on generating ZK proofs. Our team is excited to watch them continue to execute at the highest level!

thanks @TziokasV for your support all along, always fun to nerd out with you about the potential of fully accelerated ZK!
I am very happy to see @FabricCrypto announcing their Series A. Custom hardware can be the key that will unlock the ultimate goal, the adoption of programmable cryptography for any real world application. I am lucky enough to have spent a lot of time with @gaoist and have been impressed by his intelligence, passion and dedication to the end mission. Fabric is literally building the future of crypto and we, at @the_matter_labs, are happy to support them in their journey.

Thanks @bobbinth for your support since the very early days before Fabric was founded! We really appreciated you taking the time to nerd out even when the need for ZK hardware seemed like a pipe dream – it was not so long ago :)
Congrats @gaoist and team!! The VPU will be truly revolutionary for this space, and I'm very glad they've decided to dive into crypto and came up with such an amazing product.

Thanks @stateroot. When real-time ZK comes out, @presto_labs’s VPU machines will be an important part of making it available to all of web3!
1/ The journey to revolutionize the world of cryptography is just beginning, and us at @presto_labs are delighted to be a part of it. Huge congrats to the @FabricCrypto team on this impressive milestone!

Thanks @AlexLangeVC! The folks at @inflectionxyz are truly the most value-additive first-check investors I’ve ever seen in the 10 years I’ve spent building companies. Proud to have them as an investor!
1/ Congrats to our portfolio @FabricCrypto to their Series A raise led by @blockchaincapit @1kxnetwork with participation from @0xPolygon @protocollabs @matterlabsxyz and many others.

Thanks @fenbielding ! We truly think that one of the most important use cases of verifiability and VPUs will be the decentralization of AI, and will be exciting to see what we can do together.
Proud to back @FabricCrypto in their mission of building a general purpose processor for cryptographic operations

It's been a pleasure working with @_weidai and the @1kxnetwork team so far. From Wei's deep dive into our ISA & SDK (I still remember him compiling code onto our VPU sim) to their stellar advice, we couldn't have partnered with a more technically deep & founder-focused fund :)
Today, we are thrilled to announce that @1kxnetwork have co-led a $33m Series A for @FabricCrypto, a company dedicated towards accelerating the adoption and proliferation of advanced & programmable cryptography, including zero-knowledge (ZK) and fully homomorphic encryption (FHE). We believe that one of the major shifts in our lifetime is the migration from trusted legacy systems to systems utilizing advanced programmable cryptography. For example, ZK & FHE enable scaling and privacy unlocks for rollups, blockchains, and beyond. It is our thesis that this transformation will not only be seen in crypto, but also in industries with high costs of trust. Unfortunately, the applicability of programmable cryptography has been limited due to the cost overhead, despite rapid theoretical and engineering advances. We believe that the true potential of programmable cryptography can only be unlocked with hardware tailor-built for advanced cryptography. Fabric’s Verifiable Processing Unit (VPU) is specifically-designed for advanced cryptographic computation while architectured to be as programmable as a GPU. This means the VPU is both performant and future-proof–it pushes the industry close to real-time ZK proving while being able to adapt to new proof systems without compromising on performance. Furthermore, the opportunities for co-design between hardware, software, and research on the VPU platform is endless. We believe the next order-of-magnitude gain will come from co-designing advanced systems on the VPU platform. VPUs will transform the programmable cryptography space just like how GPUs transformed AI. We’ve been impressed by the progress that has been made by the Fabric team under the leadership of Michael (@gaoist), Tina, Sagar, Gilbert, and others. The VPU is poised to accelerate not only the current in-demand workloads, but also the upcoming next generation of systems. We cannot be more excited about what is in the works by Fabric and its partners. Programmable cryptography is the endgame. Fabric is accelerating the world towards it.
