@SagasofBharat @MoVijay I think Ayurveda provides a platform to look at wellness holistically. Its great for that. The science itself is flawed. There is no good evidence to include any ayurvedic concoction in treatment of cancer or any other ailment.

@MarkLRuffalo Thank you! I just got done with Gabbards Psychodynamic Psychiatry. I am planning to pick up Mcwilliam’s book next and Gunderson’s BPD is next on the list.

It’s fun to be a science enthusiast because it shapes how you see the world—with curiosity and optimism. You approach challenges knowing there’s always an explanation, even if it’s just beyond reach today. That’s the beauty of science: it doesn’t claim to have all the answers right now, but it’s relentless in the pursuit of truth. No matter the skepticism or doubt from others, I hold firm in the belief that “science will find an explanation” eventually. Whether it’s understanding the nuances of the human mind, or unlocking biomarkers that revolutionize how we treat psychiatric conditions, the future is bright. The process may be slow and difficult at times, but that’s what makes it so rewarding when breakthroughs happen. Science gives us the tools to keep asking questions, pushing boundaries, and refusing to settle for incomplete answers. In Psychiatry, this optimism is what fuels the drive to uncover the mysteries of the brain, to find treatments that will change lives. And that’s why, no matter how challenging or uncertain the path seems, I remain hopeful and excited for what’s to come.

@JinendraSatMD Many a times, Ayurvedic concoctions are made with over 80% alcohol and so many people in India take it for years continuously without realising the severe damage it does. @theliverdr does a great job at highlighting this problem.

@rachmh4 Agreed! Probably coupled with a few schizotypal traits as well. I woudn’t know where to place him tbh.

@rachmh4 Possibly one of my all time favourite De Niro films! However, what mental illness do you think he has? I see traits of Narcissistic personality.
