I don't know. "Recent events" have caused people to "believe certain things" about trans people and the inherent rights of everyone to be accepted and included. Actions will speak louder than words.

I don't know if it got a lot of attention, but PWHL Toronto's Sarah Nurse did play the entire semi-final series vs. Minnesota with a broken index finger on her left hand. (That's the one on the bottom of her stick on faceoffs and strength in shooting).
She suffered the injury in
PWHL Toronto's Izzy Daniel has said Mitch Marner is someone she sees as a comparable for her game:
"it’s funny that I’ll be in Toronto too. I don’t know how the Toronto fans are feeling about him these days, I think he gets a bad rap there. I think he’s a magician out there, he

We’ll be back this week with a special podcast episode featuring the one and only Cheryl Pounder, who will discuss the Top Ten PWHL Moments from the first season. I’m really looking forward to this conversation and I hope you’ll enjoy hearing Cheryl’s perspective. She’s been a
The PWHL schedule hasn't come out while every other hockey league is starting. Wondering if next season they can start a little earlier so there isn't this huge gap of waiting/impatience. NCAA/European drafted players are finding this time difficult when they're used to playing.
PWHL Toronto coach Troy Ryan on the approach they take to pre-game/optional skates and how the players decide for themselves what they need to be ready for game day. A real players' coach and it is reflected in the leadership of the team and how they work as a strong cohort.
Toronto Sceptres netminder CJ (Carly) Jackson is one of the league's most beloved players. Here, Jackson discusses inclusivity, women's sports, and their chase for the Walter Cup with the Toronto Sceptres.

Cayla Barnes has a Montreal connection already: "My brother loves Montreal, and his favorite team is actually the Canadiens. So he's been up there a bunch of times and I've gone with him a couple of times... I know, it's crazy, it's a wild mash up. He gets a lot of hate for

Interview with Klára Peslarová, one of the top goaltending prospects and free agents available for next season in the PWHL. She came back from tearing both her ACL and MCL to lead Team Czechia in the World Championships, setting a new record for minutes played (430).
Don't forget, you have to be following to win! We promise if you're a PWHL fan, there will be lots of great content, so hoping you will join our community!

One of the BEST parts of this PWHL season is having the most talented female broadcasters on the calls for the playoffs. You can feel their enthusiasm, not to mention their tremendous knowledge of the players. It makes me so proud.

Just five months after her injury, Natalie Spooner is testing her left knee and getting strength back. If this follows typical ACL timelines, she's still two+ months away, barring any setbacks.

This just paints a picture of tragedy and devastation, bad decisions, recklessness, aggression, and just the saddest, worst time and place for those two beautiful brothers.

Just tucking away this photo from 2019.... I have a feeling these two Finnish friends are going to have a big impact on the PWHL
Noora Tulus and Ronja Savolainen 🩵🩵
Great meeting these PWHL draft prospects. L to R: Cayla Barnes Hannah Bilka, Abby Boreen, Julia Gosling, Sarah Fillier, Daniela Pejšová, Ronja Savolainen, Noora Tulus, Danielle Serdachny, and Izzy Daniel.
More to come!
More random PWHL draft notes: Danielle Serdachny is about as down to earth as anyone you'll meet. I loved that she packed more sneakers than fancy shoes. I couldn't help "thanking" her for scoring THAT GOAL for Team Canada 😘 and she said basically, oh, haha you're welcome. 😊
In the midst of all this playoff frenzy, the Puck Drop podcast will feature Mariah Keopple from PWHL Montreal and we will just talk hockey — and try not to be consumed with how excited we are (it will be hard).
The PWHL announced a delay in the reveal of the six team names and logos (it will now be in September instead of August). Jersey designs and colors will be toward the beginning of the season (although the main colors will remain the same)!
A look at some of the wonderful players who will begin their PWHL careers tomorrow! It's been a whirlwind for many of them, traveling, meeting everyone, sightseeing, going to a Minnesota Lynx game. Tomorrow will be a huge day! Looking forward to it.
Each PWHL team has its own style of graphic design - they follow some common league standards, but some use a darker background, some lighter, some have a double photo style, one uses a "torn edge" look. Which one stands out for you?
For me, I like the font that Ottawa is using,
For PWHL fans who aren't able to find or afford a souvenir, I'm happy to offer a digital print of your favourite team or player(s). I'm working on several, but let me know who you'd like. I want everyone to be able to rep their team and enjoy the best league!
Favorite moment already: Kori Cheverie answering in French that she can’t share whether Mélodie Daoust will play in the playoffs, and Marie-Philip Poulin’s big smile at her sentence. ☺️
We've seen what a difference a single player can make on a PWHL roster, given that the difference from top players to the bottom end of rosters is still quite wide.
Imagine what adding a player like Sarah Fillier or Cayla Barnes, Danielle Serdachny or Hannah Bilka could make to
Random thoughts after PWHL Draft and Awards:
Meeting the new players was a privilege. I kept running into the trio of Daniela Pejsova, Noora Tulus, and Ronja Savolainen from Lulea. The first time I saw them, they were all smiles. Ronja chatted about a lot of topics with me,
Training camps announced for PWHL teams November 20-22:
Toronto’s Ford Performance Centre will host Toronto, Minnesota and New York, while Montreal’s Verdun Auditorium will include Montreal, Ottawa, and Boston.
Hannah Miller made a HUGE shot block at the end and was rewarded with open ice to seal the deal with the empty netter. Sums up the overall work ethic and results that come with it for this team.
Boston vs. Ottawa and Montreal vs. Minnesota were two of the best games I've seen in the PWHL so far. The skill is really starting to shine and goalies stealing games for their teams is a big storyline. Chuli and Frankel both deserved first star imo. Montreal now in 1st place!
As we ramp up our coverage to get fired up for Season 2, we've got another PWHL prospect podcast episode, and *finally* part two of draft report cards (also to help remind you who's coming up for the Canadian teams and re-examine the Kessel-Boreen situations).

Drafts will shape the league's future in an exciting way.
Here's a look at the talented players eligible to enter the league in the next 4 drafts:
I just ran into three lovely players here at the hotel… Ronja Savolainen, Daniela Pejsova, and Noora Tulus. They’re tired from the trip of course, but chatted with me for a few minutes. The excitement is building!
