I think every successful person gets to that point where that tiny whisper becomes so loud and you're left to choose which voice to listen to. When you're responsible for a lot of people's realities, the burden feels unfair sometimes and at some point, there'll come that tiny whisper saying "everyone can fuck right off". But you ignore it, because your values don't align with it and accepting it means a total character overhaul. It'll come back many times, especially times when you have to go the extra mile to make everyone except yourself happy and each time it comes back, it'll be a little louder... Until you can't not hear it. And then you'll be left with a choice to make.
