The true joy of being part of such a close-knit bio department (other than working with hella cool scientists who are at the top of their fields of course) is getting to go to peoples houses and meeting their pets.

Ok maybe screw the maps and let’s focus on the fact that the Gulf of Mexico houses the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary where NOAA and several Universities are studying and monitoring coral disease and bleaching and they can't continue to do so without federal funds?

@mags_reverie 100%! The focus was on Kendrick and his art and his statement (which was so powerful) I’m just thinking..NOLA…they could’ve incorporated the spirit of New Orleans, jazz, local High Schools, idk.

@mags_reverie I feel so bad bc I said it was boring and honestly I LOVED the social message and the artistry behind it but I just think the sound was weird and the production could’ve been more dynamic 😭

The DJ at Emo Nite was like “it’s my birthday so I’m going to play one of my favorite songs that I usually don’t play”…it was Girls Do What They Want and when I tell you my vodka-fueled ass was on that stage in 0.2 seconds to belt every word 🥲
