Big news! I got my hair kinda in a ponytail on my own. It took 10 minutes and multiple tries. But I got it. I still have the splint on, but I’m definitely getting more range of motion in my fingers already!
not being able to put my hair in a ponytail has been the biggest annoyance throughout all of this

Before Madam C.J. Walker there was Annie Turnbo Malone (August 9th 1877) She was an American business woman, philanthropist and inventor. Credited with the creation of a wildly successful black hair product “Poro”. In 1918 she founded the first ever black cosmetology school of the same name. Young people were taught about the business and science of hair care. The college also served as community center and jumpstarted the career of over 75,000 students. Happy Black History Month!
