@mtmalinen @DOGE arguably, that was still all Biden. trump was only president for 10 days of the 4 months being scrutinized

@BickerinBrattle well Biden certainly seemed to have immunity as he showed with his willingness to ignore SCOTUS rulings on student loans. what is the standard?

@SantiagoAuFund but all Foreign Affairs carefully constructed narratives may break and that would be a real shame, at least for them!

by definition, the CFPB was segregated from everything, and only funded by the Fed. that was Fauxcahontas's doing. If there was too much leverage in the system, which there clearly was, the Fed could have adjusted required reserves or added restrictions on mortgage lending. there were many things they could have done, but chose not to because the markets were going up and everybody was happy, until they weren't.

@USamsara @JoshuaMisrack @matthewstoller @tyillc And you think CFPB would have prevented that? Not saying it was good. Fed should have acted, or FDIC. But nobody did

@DamiensRegicide @BickerinBrattle I disagree. The fact that left wing judges invoked injunctions on Friday nights is hardly indicative of a haphazard strategy. My take is Trump wins most of these battles

@BickerinBrattle we will see how SCOTUS acts, but certainly a circuit court judge claiming the Treasury secretary shouldn't have access to Treasury systems while unelected bureaucrats should seems a pretty open and shut case, as an example

@DogRightGirl well, they could simply ignore the judge and cite Biden's actions regarding student loans and the Supreme Court's rulings
