Thank you for my very own piece of digital art. This was sent to me this morning from a young woman in Myanmar who says they’re making art to raise funds for the CDM movement. I’m so touched and continually in awe of the resilience and perseverance of Myanmar’s young people.

When Myanmar’s UN representative Myint Thu spoke at today’s Human Rights session to represent the voice of his country - it was met with huge criticism online. Here’s a snippet from one young critic. #HearTheVoiceOfMyanmar #CivilDisobedienceMovement #militarycoup #Myanmar

Attacks on press freedom in Myanmar continue with the military revoking the licence of five local companies - Myanmar Now, 7Day News, DVB, Mizzima and Knit Thit News. Since the coup, a total of 34 journalists have been detained according to @aapp_burma #WhatsHapppeningInMyanmar

It comes as little surprise that the military has been quick to destroy the paper crane artwork in Yangon. But one young protester said to me recently, “their bullets can’t destroy our ideas...”

Paudauk is a flower which blooms in April to coincide with the Myanmar New Year Festival - one which will look very different this year. But despite the continued threat to life - thousands of people are keeping up their presence in the pro-democracy anti-military movement.

Horrifying reports of several deaths in Myanmar’s second city Mandalay on the military’s “Armed Forces Day.” The graphic images below reveal the possible use of live ammunition and local citizens trying to help one another to safety.

It's as if the generals have declared war on the people of Myanmar: late night raids; mounting arrests; more rights stripped away; another Internet shutdown; military convoys entering communities. These are signs of desperation. Attention generals: You WILL be held accountable.

I’m told the Easter Egg strike in Myanmar is to stand in solidarity with the Christian ethnic minorities across the country. Another telling sign that parts of the country have come together - not apart - under the ruthless military rule. #WhatsHappeninglnMyanmar

A large show of solidarity for the Burmese pro-democracy movement in the heart of New York. There was also a peaceful gathering in Taiwan this weekend to offer support and strength to protestors in Myanmar who are entering their 8th week of military rule.

I’m being told there are several victims who are children or teenagers. One boy is reportedly just 5 years old, another 13, another 16. At least 50 people killed across the entire country on a day which is supposedly a national day of “pride” for the army #WhatsHappeninglnMyanmar
