It's double-edged sword. People who weren't allowed to talk about it, can now. Many are hateful--I try to ignore those ones. I'll be around for a conversation, whether we end up agreeing or not. I do believe people can be reasonable and it's just fringes on both sides garnering the most attention because they're obscenely loud.

@AmbinaIsSapphic Doubtful. It's normal for youth to feel uncomfortable in their own skin as they develop hormones. Most of it smooths out past puberty. For the few cases where it's persistent, they should seek help.

@AmbinaIsSapphic I never said you were directly involved, but that it's a problem overall. Also, those statistics aren't reliable due to poor follow up (or said detransitioners being pressured into silence). The numbers are likely much higher than that because transitioning was going unchecked.

We've reached a boiling point and a lot of trust has been lost. Not just with trans in general, but across the board for individuals who live outside traditional lifestyles. I feel like Brianna Wu and Blaire White in this debate address a lot of it. I respect both for different reasons.
