@coreyrpayne @DDDrewDaniel assigned Saidiya Hartman’s Venus in Two Acts for early modern lit. The essay interrogates the violence of the archive and its ability ‘to tell an impossible story and to amplify the impossibility of its telling.’ I found the essay provocative and beneficial.

Excited to see more research shedding light on the nuanced experiences of queer Chinese migrants. This novel retheorization is crucial for understanding how individuals navigate shifting, diasporic identities. A compelling read!
Excited to share our new paper! A big thank-you to @Amin_Ghaziani for your mentorship and support!
