Honestly? Because the majority and also loudest section of fans are toxic ‘lads’ who would make their life hell. Plus many footballers themselves have been brought up in this old school, overtly faux masculine atmosphere. So many would bully them under the umbrella of ‘banter’ 🤷🏽♂️

Anyone else feel like when you’re at the bank and there are 3 queues. You join one, then the other one starts moving fast, so you switch, then the first one you were in speeds up etc.
