We welcomed Jean Hegarty from the Bloody Sunday Trust to speak with Y14 History students today, as part of their Creative Histories course. Jean’s brother Kevin lost his life on Bloody Sunday and she spoke movingly about her memories of that day and her work with the trust since.

We raised the American flag at half mast to mark the anniversary of J.F. Kennedy’s assassination on this day, 22nd November, 1963. This very flag was flying at the base when President Kennedy was assassinated, and was presented to our school by USNavComm Londonderry Alumni Assoc.

Former pupils, Ankush and Moheet Vij recently made donations of 1000 hand sanitisers, 1000 face masks and 100 face shields to the WH&SCT. In addition they donated 500 hand sanitisers, 500 face masks and 50 face shields to the NI Ambulance Service. 👏🏻 Thank you, Ankush and Moheet.

We have reached the end of the first week of Term Two and of blended learning. Our teachers have delivered hundreds of lessons using a variety of remote methods and, as is always the case, we are so proud of the pupils’ efforts and engagement across all areas of the curriculum.👏🏻
