After the 4/25/23 Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting Alderman Gabrielle Hanson threatened to have me (a journalist) "arrested" for asking her for a comment in public. Guess she's not a fan of the 1st Amendment.

... Just no transparency as a candidate. I argued that the public deserves to get the truth now but she continued to refuse to answer any questions.

When I arrived, they were taking a group photo & seemed to be wrapping up. They declined to speak about anything. Most of them were polite to me in declining to speak but one guy was aggressive, told me to leave & wanted to fight. The others calmed him down.

They handed out flyers that read in part that they are protesting because “The anti-White System is committed to our spiritual and physical genocide.” The flyer also says “do not wear swastikas” or identifiable clothing. Notice the text on the sunglasses.

2/2: The other group, who said they were there to be a buffer between festival-goers & the other group, included people who were armed & wearing ballistic vests. Both groups left when asked. There was no violence & were no arrests after Franklin Police Officers intervened.

A big problem with the “only good guys with guns can stop bad guys with guns” idea is that a ton of wannabe “good guys” are just delusional people who are one mistake away from becoming the bad guy. Sometimes they have been the bad guy all along.
