@Lilmsbratnj It's simply the fact that the stats that these new artists are setting don't hold the same meaning as the stats they "surpass". Someone having random tracks playing in the background is not the same as someone leaving the house to intentionally buy a record. Context is key.

@KCARMOUCHE He basically went back to what he did prior to working with Michael. I stated in another post that Michael's label didn't even want him to work with Q because of this. They thought they wouldn't gel together. However, I don't believe Q would be the household name he is w/o MJ.

@Lost_Child_777 People forget MJ had to basically fight his label about Q. They wanted him to work w/ Nile Rodgers as they felt Q was too jazz oriented, mostly did show scores & wouldn't be an asset. MJ let them know he was going with Q whether they liked it or not.
