Although the main March has been cancelled we are still going ahead with ours. It will be held and start on 17 February at 12 o'clock in St Peter's Square (route to be advised on the day about 20 mins march). The March will end in St Peter's Square where there will be at least one speaker (BUT WE WOULD LIKE MORE). If there are any organisations or individuals who work in child protection/safeguarding or have their own survivor's stories to tell and are available to speak on the day we would be really grateful if they would either contact us on gmail mwmmanchester01@gmail.com or join our facebook group Million Women March (Manchester) or message us on here. We have managed to get funding for a professional PA system, ideally we would love a small platform/stage DONATING and enough funds to have leaflets printed. If anyone can help we would be grateful. We really want to make this a success and then to build on this movement. Children are the most important thing in the World, they are our future, they deserve our protection! We are asking ladies attending to bring white flower(s) with then. At the end we will be placing these flowers at the statue of Emmeline Pankhurst (Suffragette) and having a minutes silence for all the innocent children who have suffered and are still suffering because the Esrablishment and services who are not learning by their mistakes and are still ignoring signs of CSE and grooming. A lot of the same people who have ignored CSE are still in the same jobs and they should be held to account. Please would you be kind enough to share the attached We are organising the Million Womens March (Manchester) which is taking place on 17 February 2025 meeting at 12 o'clock in St Peter's Square. We want as many women as possible to join us on this March. We have a facebook group called Million Women March (Manchester) and you will find our ethos and mission and all other details within the group. We will be marching for around 20 minutes (route to be confirmed) and will return to St Peter's Square where we will have speaker(s). We are asking if everyone could being a white flower to symbolise the innocence of children. We will be having a minutes silence after the speakers for all the children past and present who have suffered CSE. The flowers will be laid at the statue of Emmeline Pankhurst (Leader of the Suffragettes). As we are privileged to have a very brave survivor speaking on the day ELIZABETH HARPER who was groomed and procured by a woman, raped by several men and labelled ‘one of the most abused girl in Rotherham’, and as she is still fighting for answers as to why so many people paid to protect our children simply turned a blind eye, WE WANT TO MAKE SURE HER (AND ANY OTHER SPEAKERS/SURVIVORS) HAVE THE BEST IF POSSIBLE, SO HER VOICE CAN BE HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR.
