Remote Debugging has been fundamentally broken. It doesn’t debug code on the device but creates a separate V8 process in Chrome, leading to unreliability. The focus is on modern JavaScript debugging instead.

But why the urgency? This move follows Expo’s removal of this capability in SDK 52 and the launch of the New Architecture in React Native 0.76, which is incompatible with Remote Debugging.

Older debugging integrations will no longer be supported. Back in version 0.73, we already started preparing users by deprecating Remote JS Debugging.
