@salva_lieb @geerlingguy @IloveRockchip Rpi never marketing as open source hardware, not defending rpi just sharing what I understand. Rpi atleast shares a working patches for upstream kernel. I don't think it is about open sourcing all IP used in the product. Users just need a working mainline kernel.

@geerlingguy Interesting to know. No chip is fully open source. I have lost motivation to maintain arm kernel for manjaro arm project cause vendors don't want to support community while always reusing their work. I am sure it was the same with Joshua, he did an amazing job.

I have been maintaining Manjaro kernel pkgs for arm but I am not motivated anymore to continue doing that cause vendor should upstream the drivers first and not wait for someone from community to do it for them. Or atleast just mention clearly that software will be bsp only
