Local knowledge = practical solutions.
Got friends wanting to learn more about the shared journey to Treaty in Victoria?
We’ve put together this explainer for our friends and allies which you can share around.
We acknowledge the many non-Aboriginal people who support us and are also hurting with the referendum result.
Thank you for your solidarity 💪🏽
This graphic is mob and ally friendly.
Feel free to share it to show your support 🖤💛❤️
There’s no beating around the bush – the result hurts.
Our number one priority must be looking out for each other.
Let's be gentle on ourselves & others.
We’re mob. We’ve been here for more than 60,000 years & we’re not going anywhere.
We are strong, resilient & deadly.
This morning
@LindaBurneyMP

Invasion. Survival. Mourning.
These are just a few of the things mob feel on January 26. It's not a day to celebrate.
To our allies, thanks for standing with us. To mob, stay strong, stay deadly and stay safe ✊🏾
Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
🤴🏽👸🏽🖤💛💔
Uncle Archie Roach, Aunty Marg Gardiner, Aunty Lee Wanganeen aka "Mama Wang", Uncle Jack Charles... these are just some of the Kings & Queens we will be mourning today.
The legacy we'll build on from these giants is huge, their collective impact is immeasurable.
While we believed that a Voice to Parliament at a national level would have been complimentary to our work, it’s important to remember that Constitutional reform isn’t the only show in town. Here in Vic, we’re making great progress on the journey to Treaty
84 years ago today, Yorta Yorta man William Cooper delivered a letter of protest to the German Consulate in Melbourne.
In it, he did what many of the world's powerful leaders were failing to do: condemn the Nazi government.

It’s simple – do you want us included in the Constitution or not? Do you want us to thrive or not? Do you want to help unite the country or not.
Have a listen to Aunty Esme explain why she wants to wake up on 15 October and tell her nan, “they voted YES”
History will remember Dan Andrews for his many achievements 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Aboriginal Victoria will remember him for his leadership on the journey toward Treaty and for starting Australia's first ever truth-telling commission.
From us all, thank you 🖤💛❤️

Collingwood champion Darcy Moore has put his support behind the YES vote on 14 October.
He knows how powerful listening to First Nations players is in a team environment, and wants that replicated on a national level.
Lest we forget all those who served through military service and sacrifice. Lest we forget those who were marched back to the mission instead of in the parade. Lest we forget the tens of thousands who died in the Frontier Wars ❤️

John Howard still doesn’t get it.
The Apology meant so much to many members of the Stolen Generations and their children. It wasn't meaningless. It was the first time the Government formally acknowledged what had happened.
Truth telling matters.
Michael Long has arrived in Canberra ✊🏾
19 years after his first walk, Michael has once again walked to Canberra to deliver a message. To get the lives of our people back on the national agenda and to urge everyone to vote YES.

When an Aboriginal person tells their employer they feel culturally unsafe in the workplace, the onus is on them to act and fix the situation.
We need culturally safe workplaces, not belated apologies.
Goodbye Jim Crow 👋🏾 Hello Larni Barramal Yaluk 🖤💛❤️
Today, the colonial and offensive name Jim Crow River was dropped. It will instead be called Larni Barramal Yaluk, Dja Dja Wurrung words meaning "Creek that flows through the home or dreaming place of the emu".

For 6 years the Liberal Party have had time to reconcile themselves with the Uluṟu Statement from the Heart and they've once again just said no.
Today is a prime example of why we need an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Voice enshrined in the Constitution.
Standing united ✊🏾
We're not going to let party politics get in the way of finishing the job that our ancestors started.
Together, we will get Treaty done 🖤💛❤️
Today is the day Australia.
We want a new era that is defined by two way dialogue, and for that, we need a Voice. We're asking allies to stand with the vast majority of our mob who have been calling for this for generations.
Go out today and make your vote count and vote YES!
The oldest continuing Aboriginal organisation in Australia is backing the YES vote.
