@Austen It’s crazy how they keep minimizing millions and billions because we spend trillions. It’s the same people who are broke and buried in debt but won’t give up $5 daily coffee runs

@elonmusk And states too. It’s pervasive in public school curriculum - our district has literally rewritten all major curriculum (social studies, English, etc) to adhere to DEI policies

@roberthendricks @elonmusk Because they don’t want him to find what they are trying desperately to hide. What other possible explanation could there be? They are literally telling people the richest man on earth is stealing people’s social security 🤦🏻♀️

@DerrickEvans4WV The source of funding isn’t the issue. Fraud occurs because there is no accountability or reconciliation on the spending

@acnewsitics I think you’re the one whose math is off - the age of the person receiving benefits has zero to do with when the law was signed. It simply implies the person can’t possibly still be alive and indicates fraud

@RBReich It also makes it harder for anyone to get access to affordable credit as lenders will assume anyone borrowing has some unknown level of undisclosed medical debt, resulting in consumers paying higher interest rates than they might otherwise have to

The @USGAO called out double digit levels of fraud historically - the atrocity is not one person in prior administrations or Congress did anything about it. Now that there’s actual action being taken to stop it, there’s outrage
The Treasury is estimated to have ~23.87% of its budget being used in a fraudulent or wasteful fashion.
