Respecting me means granting me autonomy and not trying to control me. If I open a video, don’t force me into X’s version of TikTok. Don’t promote accounts that post constant low-effort, often stolen engagement bait, don’t lock down the platform by downranking any link to an article or video that might cause a person to leave the app and read stuff more than 280 characters at a time. All of that stuff is about not respecting my autonomy and trying to manipulate me into being here so that I will see ads that will further attempt to manipulate me.
