Interesting that a flag wasn’t thrown here but it warranted a fine. This play overall was a momentum changer. Not saying it could’ve changed the outcome of the game but it definitely shifted the momentum.
The NFL fined #Eagles LB Oren Burks $8,333 for unnecessary roughness (use of helmet) — his hit on #Packers KR Keisean Nixon that caused a fumble on the opening kickoff last week. No flag was thrown.

Chicago Bears have sought permission to interview Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy and are awaiting a response from Dallas, sources tell me and @toddarcher. If the Cowboys don’t allow permission this week, the Bears could interview McCarthy after his exclusive negotiating window with Dallas expires Jan. 14.

Football logic is wild sometimes. I’m not saying we’re better than the Lions or Eagles. I’m very curious what will happen in playoffs but it’s wild to say GB isn’t great because they’ve lost to teams that are also playoff bound and legit contenders.
