Voting is underway in the election for FBU general secretary. All members should have got their ballots. If you haven't, please: 1. Email membershipservices [at] fbu. org. uk to request a new ballot. 2. Include your: - name - current address - membership number (if known)

Whichever way you choose, please exercise your right to vote. Our advice is to ask questions early and cast your vote before the Christmas period. Ballots close on 14th January. Again, if you have any questions, please contact your brigade officials

Voting is now formally open in the election for FBU General Secretary. The General Secretary is the most senior national official of the FBU. All FBU members have an equal, individual say in this election. Voting is by post only, and closes on 14th January. To be counted, completed ballot papers must be in the post in time to arrive by this date. If you are an FBU member, your ballot is on its way to you and should arrive at your home address later this week.

Nottinghamshire officials supported a resolution on this at Conference during an emotional debate. Good to see action being taken
This afternoon I will be working on the FBU’s upcoming mental health project. Our members can face huge traumas at work - whether that be in the control room, responding to an emergency or when we tragically lose colleagues. Our conference has debated and agreed that our members deserve access to suitable mental health support, together we can make sure the Government provides it.
